As the 2008 UK Barista Champion, Hugo represented the UK at
the 2008 World Barista Championships in Copenhagen. His
presentation of cappuccinos, espressos and a signature drink based on
Turkish Delight put him in 10th place out of 52 nations.
Hugo used a blend developed in association with Origin Coffee's roasters. His cappuccino milk came from Bradleys' Dairy in Delabole, just a few miles from Wadebridge. The winner & 2008 World Champion was Irishman Stephen Morrissey, trained by 2007 World Champion James Hoffmann of Square Mile Coffee Roasters in London. |
